Soloists' Biographies
Elodie Mourot
Elodie Mourot trained as a singer with Barbara Schlick and Yves Sotin. She was introduced to the stage by the mime Marcel Marceau's assistant, Guerassim Dichlev, and continues working today with Fred Robbe. At the Univerisyt of Paris - Sorbonne, she followed the medieval music performance Masters programme from 2011 to 2014, with Katarina Livljanić and Benjamin Bagby, and with Raphaël Picazos at the Paris Conservatory (CNSMD). These in-depth studies enabled her to discover wide-ranging musical repertoires and to master reading from medieval manuscripts, and also historical medieval improvisation. Introduced to free improvisation by Markus Stockhausen, Elodie continues exploring this field today with Jean-Yves Pénafiel. She takes part in recordings and productions with ensembles dedicated to early music, to improvisation, and also works with theatre companies. She currently directs the medieval music ensemble of the University in Paris - Sorbonne.
